Hello. My best friend is a redhead and last night we had an argument about whether tanning beds are good or bad for redheads. She kept claiming that it is easier for redheads to get the color and that it is not dangerous but I know I have read somewhere that redheads are more prone to burnings than the darkheads. Is there anybody who can confirm my story? Thx

You are so right about this. It is very important for redheads and blondes to take extra sunscreen precautions throughout their lives. They suffer more from the effects of the sun's rays than the rest of the population. It is because their skin contains less melanin pigment, which is one of the body's main defenses against sunburn.
