It’s been a couple of weeks now that I am on Keppra and I started experiencing psychological problems like anxiety and depression. I don’t want to go there, as my mom has problems with depression and I know how hard this can be. I would to stop taking it. Should I taper or? Thx!

These psychological problems are usual for the first couple of weeks on Keppra. Sometimes, they just pass but you need to talk to your doc. YOU shouldn’t change dosage or start tapering before consulting your doc. S/he may change the dosage or discontinue the drug. If you discontinue the drug on your own, it may increase the frequency of seizures.
