How are teeth problems and diabetes related? My sister is diabetic and she has serous teeth problems every few years. Is that common or is she exceptional?

Yes, people with diabetes are prone to get problems affecting their gums, teeth and mouth. My very good friend had gum disease from diabetes. She had terrible time...but she fixed, thank god. all I can tell you is that she has to bee very careful and take good care of her mouth: brushing her teeth twice daily, flossing once every day, looking for early signs of gum disease, and visiting dentist at least twice a year.
