Hello! If this urinary infection has been caused by bacteria from gastrointestinal tract, then it won’t be passed onto a partner and they can have sex if he doesn’t experience pain during intercourse.
Considering your friend has pain in groins and testicles, I would say that he has epididymitis, an inflammation of the tube that lies on the testicle. This may be painful but it is easily treated. A treatment usually lasts 3-4 weeks and then the infection should clear and there would be no complications. However, if the infection was not found in time and a person was not treated, some complications could occur including infertility. Considering your friend is on the treatment, I reckon he should be fine.
If the infection has been caused by a sexually transmitted bacteria, in that case, he could pass it onto his partner and then the partner would have to undergo a treatment as well. |
