Hi, I am a 16 year old male, and i have as others have said, testicular pain. I went to the docotor and after describing to him the pain and how it is located only on the top of my left testicle, he said it was my epididymitis, he didnt prescribe anything or anything like that, he said i'm to young to get an infection there or anything. The strange thing is that i have been feeling this pain since i ever started masterbating, when i was about 13. The pain seems to be dull and every now and then, but in the last about month, its been consistant and horribly painful, it scares me though because people i have talked to said its because i masterbate too much, and i'm not sure, i do it about once a day and i use my left hand, could i be like bruising my testicle masterbating too hard or something? HELP PLEASE

I can’t say where the pain is coming from but if you’ve had it for three years now, then it is probably not an infection since infections are acute and produce such symptoms acute and severe.

If there were an infection of the epididymis, you would probably develop a lump in your testicle and your doctor would feel it. You would also have fever and severe pain.

Do you have any problems regarding masturbation like feeling guilty about it or just not feeling right about the whole thing? It sounds kind of strange that you developed this pain immediately after you started masturbating and indeed once a day for a teenager is not a lot.
Excessive masturbation would be a few times a day, every day, and that could lead to exhaustion and possibly testicular pain but even guys who do it that much don’t necessarily develop these symptoms.

I don’t think that you are bruising your testicles with your hands.

Have you tried refraining from masturbation to see if the pain would stop?
