Please tell me more about role of teststrone in male organism. I don’t know much about them, only the facts related to sexual function. I’m 14 years old and would like to be better informed about human body functions. Can it easily be noticed that man has lack of testosterone? What are the symptoms of testosterone insufficiency?

Testosterone is responsible to development of male reproductive organs, but at the first place, for normal growth. Else, this hormone has role in development of musculature, hair patterns, bone mass, vocal chord thickening, energy level…Lack of testosterone can be observed as absence of some of these male characteristics. Hormonal insufficiency can not be hidden because each hormone takes place both in physical and emotional development. You should find more details about this and the other related functions in human Physiology. Good luck.
