If the program didn't work for you then you didn't follow it correctly. If you are saying you did then the only person you are cheating is yourself.
I was on the plan and followed it exactly the way it instructed. Cut out salt, no breads, no juices. I only ate the meats, vegggies and fruits recommended. Also very important is I drank only water, nothing else, at least 6 bottles a day. It was difficult at first to eat every 2 to 2 1/2 hours but I did. You have to eat the amounts recommended as well, and make sure you drink the water. Buy a scale to weigh the food. I lost 28 ponds in six weeks and continued for another 6 and lost a total of 52 pounds. Now I'm following the maintenance plan and I'm healthier and have more ebergy than I've had since I was a teenager. This is the only diet I've ever tried that WASN"T a scam. I guarantee that if it didn't work for you weren't following the plan. Quit fooling yourself and get with the program. If you fail at this like all the other diets you tried don't blame the plan. It's all of your excuses that have prevented from losing weight. THIS PROGRAM WORKS IF YOU FOLLOW THE PROGRAM. IT JUST TAKES A COMMITMENT ON YOUR PART.

Not a scam

Lost 50 lbs over about 4 months. Have kept it off for over two years.

If it doesn't work - either you're not following it correctly, you have incorrectly identified your body type, or you are using ingredients with hidden fat/salt. The website offers online help for all of these problems. If you're stalled out, you can send them a food journal, they will look at it and make suggestions for what might be going wrong.

It takes committment. You have to stick to it. No bites, licks or 'just a taste' of anything off plan. It simply WON'T work.

Not everything works for everyone - but I can tell you I have never gotten below a size 16 on ANY diet program in my adult or teenage life or been under 200 lbs since age 14. This is the ONLY thing that worked for me and more importantly, I have MAINTAINED my loss for over two years.

It may not work for everyone, but it's certainly not a scam.

The first problem is that people who are negative will always fail because that's what their mind is programmed to do. Michael's program will work for just about anyone because he incorporates the principals used in nearly every accredited Sports/Fitness training, which is, adjust your eating (calories in) to your exertion (burning calories/exercise). My suggestion is to point that finger at yourself and see where YOU failed. He didn't get you into bad shape, he gave you the formula to fix it. It takes hard work and the desire to do it. Other than coming to your house and working out/eating/cooking for you, there's not much he can do but guide you through book or website or other media.

I had to respond to all the negative comments about the Michael Thurmond body makeover. I followed his principles of eating, the smaller portioned meals spaced 2.5-3 hours apart and the weight literally melted off. It seemed like I was eating more than before, because instead of infrequent large meals I was eating more often with nothing between meals. My body was metabolizing what I ate instead of storing part of the large meals as fat. I was not exercising at the time and was in the best shape ever. I was lean and never felt better.

The product did not work for me either, but I did not like the way Mr. Thurmond stated that you could get you money back in 6-8 weeks. I ordered it from HSN not thru the company directly. So when I called the company to get a refund they would not give it to me because I did not order it directly from them and HSN has a 30 day return policy.

DO NOT ORDER IT FROM HSN GO DIRECTLY TO THE COMPANY. OUT OF $100[/b]

I went on the Thurmond program when it was located in a small office in Santa Monica and was actually run by Michael Thurmond, his girlfriend, and a muscle-ly bodybuilder type. The program worked great for me initially. I lost about 60 lbs. in a few months. My daughter lost weight, too. However, the diet is so stringent that it is difficult to stay on for very long. I literally was eating ground turkey 5 times a day for 5 months. (Other choices were available, but the ground turkey was the easiest to prepare.) This is not a program you can live on plus it is immensely time-consuming. Both my daughter and I gained back most of the weight we lost. My daughter, who only needed to lose 20 lbs., is now 105 lbs. and a Size 0. She has been at that weight for 2 years. How did she lose the weight? I am sorry to say that it was with Weight Watchers, which is not hip and cutting-edge at all. I am also re-losing my weight with Weight Watchers. Problem with Thurmond program is that you can lose weight very quickly because of the severe fat, carb, calorie and sodium restrictions. However, you may not be able to keep it off for long.

the Breathing Technique is a real key here, if you dont do it all the way the book describes then you will Fail not the program. if you are much overweight and you eat these Low Calorie plans it might be hard to not cheat, dont! and make sure you drink the 100 oz of water a day. besides if you are over 200 pounds you need to drink 1/2 your body weight in oz of water anyway just to remain healthy and keep your body hydrated. Make sure u use the right type of bands. I bought the wrong kind the first go round but got my money back and the right bands. Make sure you use the ankle weights and do everything the way it is described. and Like someone else said if this plan did not work for you, that is too bad but i think You need to request your money back. and it is not a magic 12 day plan where you lose and your weight stays the same. if you start eating more calories than recommended and / or dont exercise more for the extra calories then you will gain all your weight back that you lost.

I've previously tried the 6day body make over and lost 10lbs in the that week (actually it was 10 days- as you can do the hard core menu upto ten days in a row).

I've orderred the 6week plan online and should be receiving it shortly. I will let you know how it goes as I have 25lbs I need to lose.

Stay Tuned.

I am 'type A' based on the 6WBM test, which means my body type is sloooowww, so I can only eat limited foods. IT WORKS. The diet is between 900-1200 calories depending on how much food you cook and eat.

It takes a day or two to detox, then your body goes into overdrive as it burns up excess fat....HOWEVER if you so much as cheat a little, your body will STOP the fat loss process and go into fat storage, just like most other weight loss plans.

As others have said - the KEY is to not cheat at all to keep the fat burning.

If you can't lose on 900 calories, I'd get checked by an endocrinologist!

I tried the 6 day body makeover, lost 9 pounds and never felt better about myself! The one downside? I may never want to eat chicken or turkey again!
