I just bought the program and am very excited about it...The only thing that is concerning me is the price of the food I am going to have to buy...I don't have a lot of extra money ... pretty set budget here. Any ideas on what to do or should I be ok?
Thanks |

I gotta say here that I LOVE the 6-week body makeover program. I am 8 weeks into the lifestyle change and not even physically able to do the exercises which are specific for my body type and have lost almost 30 pounds. I am quite overweight and don't have problems with the "losing" part.....it's the keeping it off part that is a habitual problem for me. I am in my 50s and with significant health issues. I will say that I wasn't truthful with myself as I "peered" into the mirror at the image staring back at me. Finding my body type was hard and quite an eye-opener for me as I needed help from a friend to help me see what I just wasn't acknowledging.
If you don't get your body type right the first time....re-evalute yourself or ask a "buddy" for help. The food types are different in each type and perhaps that is a problem for some.....not being able to recognize where you are right now instead of where you think you are or even what you think you used to be like.
For instance, red meat is not in my program. However, there are body types that burn it up better and can eat it to lose; I can't and don't digest it well at all.
I wish you all well. |

I am so sorry this hasn't worked for you. I am 8 weeks into the program and have lost nearly 30 lbs. Eating all the time seems kind of foreign at first PLUS making sure you have selected the correct body type will aid in the process.
With so many body types to select from....I will say (for me) that was the biggest challenge. I had a hard time looking at ALL OF ME in the mirror and assessing what I thought I looked like and then matching those little blueprints together. Actually, I called upon a friend to help me because I couldn't get beyond what I thought I looked like.
Eating the right types of protein plus vegetables and stuff for your specific body type REALLY, REALLY DO MATTER! I hope that hasn't been your downfall.....Like for instance, I don't digest red meat very well but I like it. I also feel bloated for days afterwards, too. For my body type, I actually discovered that I shouldn't be eating red meat at all. I paid really close attention in the beginning as I am quite "rule" oriented and didn't want to fail at this. I am also more active even though I cannot physically do the body sculpting routines for my body type ("B"). Health issues aside, I am feeling quite at ease and comfortable with the program. I am in my 50s and will say the older you get; the harder it gets to lose weight. This hasn't been hard by any stretch of the imagination......only remembering to "eat" 6 meals each day has been a bit inconvenient.
Good luck and I hope you will give this program a try again.

| My husband and I both used this program. He lost the weight he needed for basic training (a long time ago) and I lost the weight I had gained after surgery. If you follow the diet (food section) and at the very least walk, you should do well. If you're having problems with it, call their help line or better yet, consult your doctor. Something may seriously be wrong if you're not losing weight at all. Good luck! |

My husband and I bought this about 3 years ago. We both dropped 30 pounds over a 4 month period. Maybe those of you it did not work on did not do the test correctly. You must eat the foods that are for your body type only. We have now found that this is a way of life not a diet plan. We continue to eat like this but are now on the maintaining part. Yes we do go out and eat, go to parties and eat, but then we are back to eating the proper way. I also found that his saying "Water in Fat out," to be very true!
If the meal plans are not followed it will not work. |

I didn't find that food on this program was much more expensive than the food I was already buying. You need to buy slightly more expensive poultry because you want ground chicken or turkey breast instead of just plain ground turkey. You also want chicken breasts with less sodium, like Purdue light and lean. But the extra expense in the meat was offset by the money I saved not buying cookies and chips.
The key is to cook ahead. Otherwise, you'll do nothing but prepare food and clean up. Then it's time to eat again! Cook once for two days and set up little tupperwares with your meals in it already.
I lost 50 pounds with this program when nothing else worked. Whenever the weight starts to creeep back up on me, I use it again to get back down.
To the OP who thought it was a scam...it's six small meals that you make from the food in the grocery store, exercise, eat protein, limit salt....what part of that sounds like a scam? Sounds like the nutritional advice given on any US government website. |

When you receive the program in the mail.. it gives you every body type. You have to read everything and put it together. So you take everything under your body type and that is what you use . If you have a friend who is a different type than you.. Give them theirs for free! That is what I did |

| I had to respond to this add. Michael Thurmond's body make over is NOT a scam & if it did not work for you, you should have had no problems returning the program to get your money back. I bought & followed his program to a T and lost over 20 lbs. I went from a size 10 to a size 4. I didn't really care for his work out routines, not that they didn't work I'm just more comfortable going to the gym & using the machines there instead of the resistance band. This is a very extreme program so I find it hard to believe that with everything you cut out..oil, butter, salt, dairy, alcohol, sugar. With measuring your portions, eating 6 meals a day & drinking your daily water I really don't see how this wouldn't work for certain people, its designed for every body type. If you followed this program to a T and you did not see results I can see how you would be upset, discouraged or even unmotivated but not to post saying that this is program is a scam. I personally would be a spokesperson for this program. I saw amazing results and continue to use his program today. |

Guest said they found a program that worked and it wasn't Michael Thurman...so what was it?
I am a young woman that has to workout 6-7 days a week, eat 900-1200 calories per day, and watch my sugar and sodium intake just to NOT be overweight. I am looking for a program that is easier to maintain a healthy wait for a 23 year old female. I just bought Michael Thurman's 6 Week Body Makeover. I looked into weight loss supplements, but I am not obese and fear they will negatively impact my health. |

| Sorry you didn't get what you expected out of the program but I am here to tell you that it's not a scam. Okay, so it didn't work for you. Try another program. I'm sure you will find something that will work. I have tried the program and it does work. I did it for two weeks and I lost 8.4 pounds. And if you didn't already know anytime you eat healthy, not skip meals, eat in moderation and drink 120 freakin ounces of water and excercise you will lose the weight. That is a no brainer. I'm not doing the program now because I don't have time to do all of the cooking so I'm on something else which is also working for me. So if you say it didn't work for you again i'm sorry but don't call it a scam. ---Peace |
