| im so embarest to ask this as im only 16, i havnt had sex but i think i have a virginal infection...its thick discarge...and very ichy..my underwear is also really wet...it makes me feel so uncomfortable..but im to scared to go doctors..? please help!!..is there anything i can do? thankyouuu x |

sweetie, the best thing to do is make sure you wash really really good and make sure you are completely dry afterwards, also you can check with your doctor, but it sounds like you may have a yeast infection, which can be treated by an Over The Counter cream (miconazole works best with me) or a prescription called diflucan (VERY convenient) its really common and yes, you can be a virgin and have one, the itching is a very common sign and also if the disharge is white-ish (sometimes has the consistency of mucous or thicker) and it is very common for you to notice your underwear getting very wet but a lot of the time that is just normal for a woman. I am pregnant and i am very prone to getting yeast infections right now so i've seen a lot of symptoms (LoL) if you have any specific questions or are worried about anything else, i'd be more than glad to help you, BTW, I am not much older than you(eighteen) so don't think it's an old lady problem either...lol.. dont be embarrassed either most women get one at some point in life!  |
