I was having thick mucus the last two weeks it stoped a couple of days ago. I was due to start my period on the 19. I have took two preg. test and they both were negative. Is it possible I am pregnant?
Well, it’s been long enough since your ovulation time. This means that the HPT’s should have detected hcg hormones if you got pregnant.
All the pregnancy tests are said to be 99% accurate if taken as indicated.
Do you know how pregnancy tests work? They measure the presence of the hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) that is made by the placenta when a woman gets pregnant.
The amount of the hormones should have doubled now ( you ‘re 8 days late now, right?) and any pregnancy test should have spotted the presence of the hormones. Did you use the morning urine? It is best to use the morning urine because the levels of the hormone are the highest then.
Wait for another few days and test again. Are you planning to get pregnant?
In case you miss this period, you may have a word with a gynecologist.
