I CAN RELATE TO YOUR PAIN. I HAVE EXPERIENCED SO MUCH BACK PAIN MORE THORASIC RIGHT SIDE AREA, NEAR SHOULDER BLADES. I WENT TO MY DOCTOR WHO IS BOARD CERTIFIED AS A "DO". HE SAID MY RIB WAS OUT OF PLACE. BECAUSE, I ALONG LIKE YOU, HAVE BREATHING PROBLEMS. MY DOCTOR WILL ADJUST MY RIB AND PUT IT BACK IN USING A MINOR MUNIPULATION PROCEDURE,THEN IN A FEW DAYS MY TISSUES AND BREATHING PROBLEM ARE RESOLVED. REMEMBER THAT AREA IS NEXT TO YOUR GALLBLADER SO IF THAT IS DISEASED THAT MAY NEED TO BE RULLED OUT. AND IF YOUR RIB IS OUT THAT CAN HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. I HOPE IT HELPS.

Very Happy hi my name is jenny, i also had a rib out years ago and it was manipulated back into place. now i suffer bad with thorasic and shoulder arthritis. the pain is bad most days.i have been given a tens machine to try from my physio, it seems to distract me from the pain but when i turn it off the pain remains.i am on anti inflams now and pain killers to ease my pain(not).. it seems to be gettin worse but i'm sure there are worse people out there with worse conditions than i have and thank god i have a good hubby and kids to support me.

THEY ACHE AND ACHE, AND IT MAKES ME SICK. BUT YEAH, IF THATS YOU ONLY SYMPTOM, ID LOOK IT UP ON THE I-NET AND IF I COULDNT FING ANYTHING, ID GO TO THE DOCTOR JUST IN CASE.

I feel your pain. I'm only 22 but I've had sharp neck and mid-back pain, breathing difficulties, and numbness/weakness in both hands and both legs. I also have pain in both hip joints and shoulder joints and my feet hurt alot. I was checked for thorasic outlet syndrome but no definate diagnosis was made. Anybody have an idea?

IM 17 AND I HAVE ALL THE SAME SYMPTOMS. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE WITH STENOSIS(NARROWING OF THE SPINAL CANAL). IT CAUSES A LOT OF PROBLEMS! ITS REALLY ADVANCED, IT RUNS IN MY FAMILY AND ITS LIKE IM ABOUT 60-70 THE DOC ACTUALLY SAID. DID HE CHECK FOR THIS? I HAD AN MRI AND THATS WHAT IT WAS FOR ME. SO NEXT TIME YOU GO ASK IF HE CAN REFER YOU TO AN ORTHOPAEDIST. MAYBE HE COULD HELP YA. IF U DO HAVE THIS, IF HE WANTS YOU TO GO TO PHYSICAL THERAPY, DONT DO IT; IT ONLY MAKES IT WORSE IF U HAVE THIS! TRUST ME! RIGHT NOW IM WORKING ON BUILDING MORE MUSCLE SO I CAN HAVE SURGERY SOON, UNFORTUNATELY. ITS MY ONLY OTHER OPTION CAUSE PAIN MEDS DONT HELP EITHER. BUT ANYWAYS, I HOPE U GET BETTER AND GOOD LUCK. TRUST ME, ITS NOT ALL IN YOUR HEAD, I LEARNED THAT. IT TOOK THE DOCTORS 3 YEARS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME CAUSE THEY THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY, SCHIZO, HYPO. BUT IT TURNS OUT IM NOT! YOU KNOW WHEN THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH UR BODY, EVEN IF NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHAT IT IS. ITS LIKE AN INNATE SENSE. TRUST ME, U KNOW WHEN SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT WITH UR BODY, U DONT JUST FEEL PAIN FOR NO REASON.

Have sharp pain in my mid-pack section. It isn't all the time, but I gasp for a breadth and feel a sharp pull under my left breast. It feels as if I知 loosing my breadth and will feel light-headed. I have terrible ringing in my ears for two years now - sometimes it feels electrical and I feel like I'm being shocked. Sometimes I have a hard time climbing stairs and will feel out of breadth and woozy. Have been through all sorts of testing and only thing found is a positive ANA in my blood work, but no diagnosis of Lupus. Sometimes I hear and feel crackling and popping in my head. My mid back is a very sharp stabbing like pain. Its almost like I feel the bones rubbing together. I also have pain in extremities - sometimes radiating. I had this ten years ago at age 30 and it lasted 9 months and then went away. I知 now 40 and its back and I知 on year 2 with this crap. Would love to know what the heck is wrong.

POSSIBLY A SPINAL PROBLEM. DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE, A PINCHED NERVE CAN CAUSE IT, BONE SPURS, ARTHRITIS. ETC.

Do you know what is actually causing the pain? is it a disease or an injury? if its severe enough, you can see a specialist and they will first assign physical therapy to see if it will help you any. then if that doesn't work, they will probably give you some low dose pain killers and maybe even give you epidural steroid injections(cortisone injections) in the spine. that's what i had done. Most people say it usually helps them after the second injection. So, I hope you get feeling better!

You all sound like me. Cervical, throacic, lumbar, really everything is falling apart on me. Most of the problems started when I had my first child (now I have 4 children at 34). Tried everything just like the rest of you. I don't exercise anymore as all exercise makes me feel 10x worse. I've decided to try something pretty radical. I'm going to have my abdominal wall separation repaired surgically. When it's all healed up I'm sure I will be at least strong enough to do some strengthening. I think the ab problem is the source of much of this pain because of trunk weakness and instability of spine. Not sure if any of you have had symptoms appear after having children, but I never even knew what a backache felt like until after giving birth. It's a gamble, but I'm desperate. I can't continue attempting to live this way.

Understand how u feel. I've been in severe pain for 8 months. Had MRI's,mylegram. Dr.'s can't seem to find out what's wrong. taking pain meds, Lyrica. seems to help for a few hours. I started drinking MONAVIE, an acai berry blend of fruits. It's working! Not having to take as much pain meds. Hopefully I will continue to improve. I also have degenerative disease in my cervical and lumbar areas(11years now, also 2 back surgeries) i'm not having any pain anymore. The only thing I've been doing differently is drinking the juice. Check out the website for info. I'm hearing great results. Got my Mom to drink it,was having pain in her knees, even after surgery. She was hardly able to walk. She's back to bowling again. NO PAIN!-------mymonavie.com/susancole------Hope this helps someone.

Rolling Eyes

Oh my god! So I am not nuts (in this case at least Rolling Eyes ). I can clearly remember as early as six years old feeling like I couldn't fill my lungs up at the top - I was told to stop doing that of course...the mid of my back has always felt like it needed a good pop IN since it felt so tight and almost like I had a hump at that part - I was told my posture sucked despite the fact when I tried to stand with my shoulders back/straight I would end up in extremem pain and even less able to breath! I also have the exact same issue with a positive ANA but no diagnosis of lupus (but as she put it 'the most definite case of fibromyalgia') and was sent on my way. This was a diagnosis over 9 months ago, and only last week did I ask for a copy of my med file after being asked by the Doc how my fibro was??! of which I had no idea what he was talking about. The arse (Dr)fought me so hard not to give me a copy of this letter of diagnosis that he even cussed! When I finally get my copy and leave the office I read to find out for the first time about being diagnosed (supposedly) with Fibromyalgia, Rhaynauds (since I was early teens I always complained of painfully cold hands but despite mutiple doctors NO ONE every said it was anything other than 'bad circulation' and maybe stress!). I also have the positive ANA and lo and behold "Degenertive Disc Disease of the Thorasic Spine"!!...you think they may have called me about that huh?!....
Sorry for the rant but I have never once in my life posted on a board but while looking up this degenerative thoriasic thing, and currently not being able to breath right for the last two weeks, I saw this posting and couldn't believe someone else has the exact same thing and I'm not just imagining all these things all these years ...

By the way I am only turing 28 years old next week and now want to know what anyone else out there has to offer in way of me doing someting proactive about this -

docs don't seems to get it all together fast enough and I will not wait another 20 years for them to finally help out....thanks for listening and I wish you all the best - Screw'm for being no help and lets all just take control ourselves - we can obviously do a better job of it ... any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Shocked
