Just yesterday, I found a hard lump under my skin on my neck. The lump is in back fairly close to the base of the skull. The lump is not painful or tender and I have not sustained any injuries that would cause such a lump but still it is annoying. Should I consult a doctor? Could this be something serious?? Thanks

Any bump that is unexplained should be checked out. Now, it is possible that you simply have a bit enlarged lymph node – there is one just in the area you’ve described. If it starts growing, than you have one more reason to check it out.

I also have a medium sizes hard lump on my neck, It doesn't hurt, but when I push it I get a pain going up my neck, it's only a enlarged lymph gland, nothing to worry about. |

I'm just guessing, but you may need to get more iodine in your system. I was looking in my medical textbook and iodine, which you get in table salt keeps your lymphs in check |
