throat pain during and post heart attack

My husband is 41, had a heart attack, first symptom was a sharp pain in the lower throat or neck like someone stuck a finger into the area where your collerbones meet at the base of your neck. He had never felt this pain before the day he had the heart attack, treatment was angioplasty and 1 stent into a 90% blockage and he was left with some permanent heart damage. Since then he has had this reoccuring "throat" pain but cannot seem to find an answer for it and is very frustrated not to mention uncomfortable. Has anyone had any experience with this? let me know. Thanks.
