throat swelled to point of having a Trach

gradual loss of airway to the point of having a TRACH...all tests for cancer negative--NO ONE can figure out cause for continued swelling (edema)..if we could determine the cause and reduce the swelling the Trach could be reversed and the feeding tube removed...HELP!!!
