Hi everyone. Every time I get a cold virus, my throat swells up. This wakes me up about 5 times a night. Nothing works except to fall back asleep. This happens about 10 times a year. I do have asthma. Does asthma do this? It is very scary..

yes, asthma may have something to do with it. you need to see your doctor (asthma doctor) and find out of you need to switch inhalers or use a steroidmedicine when you catch a cold. do you ever have treatments (a machine which vaporizes medicine so you can breathe it in)? i am studying to be a doctor, and two of my siblings have asthma, so that's where this opinion is coming from.
