thrombosis pulmonary embolism

Hi, my father is suffering from heart for more than 7 years. He was taking medications regularly but four days ago he complained on severe pain in his leg. We have transferred him to the hospital and doctor told me that he caught the last train before he got thrombosis. I would like to know something more about thrombosis.

Hi, my mother suffered from embolism caused by thrombosis which was formed in the deep veins of her left leg. Thrombosis is formation of the grouped blood cells which may be formed on the place where blood flow is slow or irregular. This formation may float trough circulation and get stuck in the pulmonary circulation. It may cause infarction of the lungs which is very serious condition. Treatment of thrombosis has to be done with anticoagulant medicines.
