throwing up so sick

I am 19 yo healthy female. Since Saturday I have been throwing up having diahrreah with blood and right lower abdominal pain. I was admitted to the hospital breifly and had a colonoscopy (sp?) and was released with an anti nausea medication. Since coming home I have been unable to hold anything down including the medication, i still have the bloody diahrreah and stomach pain,I can barely hold my head up am constantly tired. What should I do?

I recommend seeing a GI specialist as soon as possible, any type of bleeding in the stool can be life threating. The hospital you went to was not paying close enough attention and never should of let you leave with those symptoms. A good GI doctor will not let you leave the hospital till your symptoms have subsided or they have found the root cause. Never take No for an answer because it turns out I was missing half of my digestive system for over 16 years before someone actually found it and fixed it.

Also check to see if the blood is bright red when you wipe after the bowl movement or if there is dark red blood in the stool. If there is dark red blood I recommend going to the ER ASAP. This is a sign of some type of internal bleeding, there are many many test that can be used to determine this.

For the vomiting until you can get to a doctor try smelling a lemon, drinking coke (NO ICE NO STRAW), and try sucking on a piece of real peppermint candy.
