Do thyriod diseases occur more often in menopause? I mean, because of hormone miss balance etc. Is there any relationship between thyroid diseases and menopause? I’ve been recognized the first symptoms of menopause in last 2 months. But they seem a little bit extreme for me. How can I be sure?

In fact, the symptoms of menopause are often the same as the symptoms of thyroid disease. That’s why thyroid disease may go undetected in that period. Thyroid disease is the most commonly found in women age from 35 to 65. I was diagnosed hypothyroidism when I was 40. My symptoms have worsened during the onset of menopause. You should do thyrotropine test.

I need help to know if this is normal or if I should be concerned? I've was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure after several years of infertility problems and missed periods. I have been on HRT 1 year. After being diagnosed with hypothyroid and hyperparathyroid the doctor prescribe synthroid and vitamin D therapy. Two months later I started my period.
Shoudl I still be taking my Hormone replacement and is there any reason to be concerned that another problem is looming. I am not looking forward to another endometrail biopsy.
