Hi, I was diagnosed with thyroid Antibodies few days ago. A doctor also told me that I have a normal TSH. To be honest, I don’t have idea what those things mean. He told me only a few things about it, but I didn’t understand him anything.

Hi, if your test for thyroid Antibodies is positive, it usually means that your thyroid is going through autoimmune failure. A normal TSH shows that your thyroid has not failed completely yet. When I was diagnosed with the same condition, my doctor thought that I shouldn’t take thyroid hormones just because I have the antibodies. I read about it and realized that my fertility is in danger. However, some other doctors think that antibodies should be treated with hormonal therapy. I didn’t know whom to trust, so I decided to stick to my doctor’s advice. Doctors obviously don’t know much about this condition, because they keep changing the tests like they’re not satisfied with neither of them. I recommend you to ask several different doctors for opinion, and to do what most of them tell you.
