thyroid and alcohol

Does drinking alcohol after a thyroidectomy pose any concerns to Blood Alcohol levels? Does the body metabolize alcohol the same after the surgery?

I'm having a thyroidectomy in a 4 days... does drinking before surgery raise conserns? When should I stop drinking?
