Hello there, I am a single mom who is 27 years old. My child doesn't have any problem for now and I am very happy because of that. However it won't hurt if I know something about thyroid disorders in children. I hope that you can provide me with many informations. Thank you in advance for everything you write.

Hi there, you should know that almost every thyroid disease which can happen in adulthood may also happen in childhood. If you suspect that your child have some thyroid disorder, then a blood sample should be taken to determine if TSH and T4 measurements are normal. I don't know anything about the treatment, sorry if I wasn't of much help. I hope that someone else may know more.
