hi my question is that 26 years ago I had my thyroid removed in april this year I thought my thyroid had enlarged again one doctor dismissed this but another sent me for test I got a scan the doctor said I had a cyst and he could drain it there and then this helped me and I thought no more about it but I got a call from my doctor to go and see him he said that although the liquid they drained from my cyst did'nt show up anything they were sending me to a specialist in thyroid to get me checked for throat cancer I go on the 18th august I did'nt say to the doctor a he floored me when he said this but I have had two uncle's die young from throat cancer is it likely that it runs in familys they were my dads brothers
