It also seem to happen during late spring, or early summer (ie warm weather).
First I'll get these tiny itchy bumps, which then turn to red, dry, scaley, itchy patches.
Upon going to the Doctor/Dermatologist, I was (first) diagnosed with fungus, and was given an antifungal.
When the bumps came back again, the Doctor/Dermatologist diagnosed me with dry skin (dermatitis). I can't remember the exact type of dermatitis, but it was either Psoriasis, or Eczema. Though it was most likely Hand dermatitis (or Hand Eczema), as after checking out images of Psoriasis, it doesn't seem to be Psoriasis. I was given some topical creme, as well as a moisturizer (named cutemol: emollent skin cream) which helped a lot.
This Hand Eczema, though seems to still recurred during the warmer months.
Just a FYI, I tend to wash my hands a lot (a little bit of a clean freak). My Dermatologist did say that this may be one of the causes. I also remember trying on an old ring once, and was told this could of also been the cause.

| I also get these tiny blisters on several fingers each year during the summer. They not only blister, but burn and turn red. Any help on how to get rid is greatly appreciated. |

I am getting the SAME THING....only mine randomly pop up on both hands. That is what led me to your post. Have you gotten any answers? My son's pediatrician said that it's probably an allergic reaction to something. He suggested that hand sanitizer is probably irritating my skin. I'm not sure I'm buying it though! I think it's something else. Maybe it's viral???? I'm anxious to see what kind of replies you get here. |

I get the same thing. Red bumps on the palm of my hand at the base of my thumb and at the base of my little/pinkie finger on the outside edge.
I use a mouse a lot and I have noticed these are the two areas that touch the desk most often. I find the sysmptoms come and go but get worse when the weather moves from mild to hot (Spring to Summer) and when I am tired or stressed.
Very good page of info here - http://dermnetnz.org/dermatitis/pompholyx.html |

Hey everyone. I' have been getting these blisters for about 2 or 3 years now. They come and go as they please. I noticed them first while working at a daycare after applying that thick SPF 50 to some of the kids before going outside. I thought I had an allergic reaction to the sunblock so I started wearing gloves. Nothing ever helped. Now I get them for no reason at all. I heard they were "stress bumps", brought on by stress obviously. I have noted that they have appeared during times of great stress, BUT even at times when I have no care in the world!
They are the size of a needle head and usually appear in clusters. I can't help but pop them and a clear liquid comes out. They seem to immediately fill back up again then begin to feel sore. Mine have NEVER itched, rather cause much soreness as they begin to dry up and heal, They are usually on the sides of my fingers, my palms or on the undersides of my fingers. Unfortunately, all the research I've done comes up with nothing to cure. I found a website that shows what mine look like but not to this extreme) : http://dermnetnz.org/dermatitis/pompholyx.html
I'm afraid that over time these will continue to get worse and I will have hands that I'm afraid to show in public. |

Posted: 06/28/07 - 22:11 Post subject: blisters on fingers at same time as face "bumps" |
|
|
a few weeks ago i started to get these blisters on my fingers. they're little and only on the the top of my two index fingers, between my center knuckle and the bottom of my nail. I don't know what to do about them, popping them with a needle doesn't really help for too long. also, they tend to itch at times. i tried putting cordisone cream on them but it doesn't help.
at about the same time, my face started breaking out and that "clean and clear and under control" stuff wont work.
whats going on? |

I don't know if it's at all relevant, but I get these, my mother gets these, and she says my grandfather also gets them. They always seem to show up once things get warm here in Colorado.
I sure wish someone would figure them out... I, like most, pop the blisters the relieve the pressure, but they leave a dark, freckle-like mark. |

| I have had these blisters on and off for 10(yes 10) years. I finally got a good dermatologist who did a biopsy. It's adult onset hand eczema. It's thought to be caused by malfunctioning sweat glands. It can be caused by a number of things including alergies, stress or your immune system. You can get rid of it with perscription topical steroids. It will come back and you will have to get treatment periodically. Keep moisterizing!!! I'ts not contagious! I was most afraid of that since I have young chidren, in fact I wasn't concerened until I became pregnant and worried about spreading the rash which I thought was athletes foot on my hand to my newborn. I have never given it to anyone. one major advise I can offer is NEVER use hand sanitizer. not only with it sting it will irritate your hands for days. |

The same thing happens to me! At first my hands get tiny little red bumps that itch. They are to small to pop though. Then they blister off and peel for weeks! It only happens on my hands and it is random. I think it may be an oat allergy and I have found that taking garlic and vitamin C along with L-Lysine puts a stop to it. Recently I started eating CLIF bars which I realized are made with oats and soy. |
