| I am hearing all of you. For the past year I have been fighting what seemed to be a fungal infection on my middle finger, left hand. I went to my doctor and they took a specimen of the fluid and sent it to a lab to have it analyzed. I was treated for fungal infection with Diflucan and Nystatin Cream. Both had no effect. The infection remains on my finger and has not spread anywhere else on my body. My skin on that finger now scales and cracks and is very painful. I have tried everything that I can think of (even prayer). I have found that coating my finger with Calamine Lotion everyday keeps the blisters from getting out of hand or itchy. Judging from the posts on here I would say that the doctors don't know everything. I am just glad to see that I am not so alone in my quest to find an answer. silver92573@yahoo.com |

I have these also, always somewhere in the summer, altough these tiny brown spots may stay for a longer while. i don't have problems with itchiness altough i feel that it itches sometimes but very mildly. i support the idea that it is related to heat/sweat and the bodies natural ability to expel toxins from our body, the most important is that our organs function well, these tiny blisters have been for me always temporarily.
what lead me here was that i have a girlfriend and it bothers me to have these tiny blisters when i am around her. altough it is only noticible when looking close. Fortunately it is not contagious, i would feel bad if i spread it to her.
It is not Miliaria...it doesn't seem like it for me. But it does seem Pomphlyx only very mild. I usually get besides these tiny blisters, tiny brown spots on fingers. They are located on the side, near the joints of the fingers, weather it is on hand or on foot. But on foot never bothered me. I believe t may be stress related too, specially if we stress out about it. right now only my left and middle finger seems to have it more pronounced, but still only visible when looking close, i am 25. Speaking of natural remedies, i havent tried apple vineger nor biologic garlic properly, but i think it is useless, altough it0s just my opinion, someone here suggested that oil creams may only work temporarily but tend to block sweatting glands, so i guess coconut oil is not quite recommended.. maybe what would really help is sauna, or vapor ambient, and a gentle bath after words, to help us sweat out these toxins, fresh fruits and vegetables, dark ones. broculies...men i have to eat vegetables i dont eat them for some time now.
Finally i would like to say that i started to have these things aroung 16-17 after being exposed to harsh chemicals when working with dish washings at a bar-restaurant. Altough there seems to be a genetic tendency to it because the most important person in the world to me, my brother, has it too and has never worked with dishes. However, i would advice anyone and everyone to use gloves when washing dishes or toilet or whatever. Don't wash your hands with soap many times.. I guess washing them only with water is ok... but im not a doctor, altough i recognize that sometimes doctors are wrong too. I don't like doctors, only the good ones. And i don't like pills.
Thanks to powie for the article about body Ph level's and general health. Very interesting

Well as an aid to some of you, I am experiencing the same symtoms that most of you describe. Working in a doctor's office, I have somewhat of an advantage in the diagnosis department. Initally I was treated from Dishydrosis with a perscription .1% steriod cream. Without much improvement, my physician perscribedn a steroid dose pack which should have cured the problem. While I did see improvement for 3-4 days, the same small blisters continued.
After speaking with my doctor, he referred me out for a culture, fearing that it may be Herpatic Whitlow (check into this if you haven't seen results with previous treatment.) However my culture came back normal, much like some of yours and the condition is now worsened. I'm being referred to a dermatological specialist and will post again if any I receive any new information. |

I just recently got an outbreak to. I will go to see the doctor tomorrow....hope he can shine a light on the possible cause and name to this thing. Seems as if everybody is having different types of blisters over here, though.
Some have larger, some smaller, some itching, some non-itching. My best guess as to what my bumps are is this:
I already had a wart next to the nail of my indexfinger and tried to remove it with salicylbandages, as my doctor recommended. Than after a while the wart seemed to get better, but the skin around it was really red and sore. And on top of that sore skin all of a sudden I had little (0,5 - 1 mm) blisters, my skin was thickening just a little because of the water in the blisters and the skin surrounding the blisters is red. It started from the sore skin and is now spreading around the top of my indexfinger, mostly around the nail. It feels like a cold sore, only on my finger. So I figure it might be Herpes Whitlow (since I also have cold sores occasionally), or maybe the eczema-thing, since (1) it might be an allergic reaction to the salicylbandages and (2) I have been under a lot of stress.
Pictures on google mostly resemble the last option, since the blisters are very tiny and nog clustering up to become one big blister (like with a cold sore).
If I find out more, I will post it. Maybe you guys can be helped by it. Best option is still going to see the doctor, though... |

| I have had those blisters/bumps or what ever you want to call them for the best part of 32 years now. They come and go sometimes I am free for several month, then I have them in various stages for 4 - 5 weeks then I am free again. Mine seem to itch a little, then break open and leave slight redness and soreness and the skin feels a bit hard. I had some cream prescribed many years ago that did help but I have not had anything since. Very annoying |

| I am 25 and have had these on and off for most of my life. When I was in elementary school, I had them on my left hand inbetween each finger. Now, it is only the pinky finger that is affected. I noticed that in the summer time it is worse and when I use hand sanitizer it worsens as well. But this latest outbreak I haven't been using sanitizer. I use a topical cream (Aristocort) and it seems to help. But I just do not know what causes this. The only thing out of the norm that I did do recently was go out clubbing - perhaps there was a reaction to something in the clubs that made it get worse? I do not know what it could be..... |

Funny that one person throughout these posts mentioned that they got them upon using hand sanitizer...same thing happened to me...I noticed a lot of them appearing on my fingers and the sides of my hands when I used hand sanitizer at work, daily...I stopped using hand sanitizer and didnt really noitce these pumps anymore (although I did find another job and didn't really have time time to observe my hands anymore :s) at any rate, just 2 weeks ago I can recall using hand sanitizer at a buddies place, 2 days in a row...now I have a few pumps all over my right hand fingers :s ...no more hand sanitizer? |

I am having the same problem.
I noticed them about 2 years ago, then they went, then they came back again last year. and now they're back again.
I seams to be around the same time of year, but also i've suffered with a chest infection or something lately, could it be another way of the body ridding the virus?
It usually starts on one finger then spreads, when popped it a clear, almost sticky liquid that comes out. very strange.
They don't hurt, but itch a little, and itch a lot of popped.
My mother also suffers from this so it would seam whatever it is is genetic. |
