Hi everybody. My girlfriend and I (I’m 24 and she is 21) became sexually active few weeks ago. So far, we have had sex four times. The first time my girlfriend did not experience any bleeding, but her period came a week or so later, and was extremely painful. Then, a week after her period, when we had sex again, she did bleed but not much. But, that night and the next few days, she experienced soreness and some mild tissue discharge. She also told me that it hurt when she urinated. Now, the thing is that I have a fairly large penis and I noticed in the past that many girls I had sex with experienced a bit of pain during and after intercourse. But, even knowing that, my girlfriend still has some concerns about her symptoms. Any thoughts? Could this be an STD?? I mean, I know I don’t have one, but I still have to ask!

Well, I think that you’ve already given an answer. It is possible that penis size is the cause, especially if she was virgin when you first had sex. But, she may also have a urinary tract infection that would explain the pain with urination. Since she is concerned, I would suggest a visit to her gyno, just to clear all doubts, especially regarding possible STD. Hope this helps.

Don't worry, had the same problem. It's a urinary tract infection. When I had it I couldn't hold it in when I had to go and had tissue discharge as well.
