I had been thinking to do a piercing on my tongue. I thought that was original, nobody in my class did it. So five days ago I did it. I noticed that was big shock for my tongue, it has been swollen since then. My mom reacted strongly on this, but what is done is done. She says that I can earn some infection now. Is this true? I am 16 years old.

Unfortunately piercing always carries risks of infection, and even greater with mouth piercing. It can also cause breathing problems, speech impediments. There is also possible allergy danger, cyst formation. Since you already did it, please pay close attention to how you are cleaning the earring.Try not to inflame and shock tongue more than it already is.
