I had been thinking to do a piercing on my tongue. I thought that was original, nobody in my class did it. So five days ago I did it. I noticed that was big shock for my tongue, it has been swollen since then. My mom reacted strongly on this, but what is done is done. She says that I can earn some infection now. Is this true? I am 16 years old.
Unfortunately piercing always carries risks of infection, and even greater with mouth piercing. It can also cause breathing problems, speech impediments.
