Just wanted to tell you that my son had his tonsils and adnoids removed at 4 years old. The were removed in August. The Dr said they were the biggest he had seen in a 4 year old. He is fully recovered now and breathing and eating a lot better. His throat doesn't hurt as bad anymore and he is talking a lot better.

My daughteris 4 years old had her tonsils and adenoids remove this pass Monday 21st. and she did good going into surgery and coming out. ( no crying at all) She was in alot of pain the first day after surgery. By day 4 she started talking to me and playing. She still have bad night because the pain is bad. I think her mouth dries out during the night and the pain is bad. Get up alot during the night for tylenol and water.
The prescription pain killer did not help with the pain it just kept her sleepy. I recommend Tylenol( Bubble gum flavored) My best advice is to keep the pain down and make sure your child drink or even just sip every chance he is awake. Puddings, apples sauce, tea, water, pop sicles, oatmeal, rice, macaroni and cheese. Anything that is smooth and soft. The doctor will tell you a week and that is about right. She will be heading back to school Monday 28th.
