I just had my tonsils taken out on the 11th last Friday, It wasnt as bad as expected I think I've had tonsillitis that hurt worse to swallow but I'm just scared to eat anything to textured because I dont want to get sick or pick the scabs with the food, I was eating mashed potatoes and I thought I was going to die my jaw hurts me so bad my tounge hurts I have no taste buds and I cant get anything down past my uvula its killing me its hard to swallow anything past it, and I'm such a freak about this scabs I just dont want them to fall off and me bleed uncontrolled.
So please tell me when the scabs come off is there blood?
When do they normally fall off?
I just want to feel better it doesnt hurt to swallow its just weird I talk all funny like I'm in the middle of a conversation and my mouth will fill up with air and shoot up my nose and I'll make a snort noise and sometimes I'm drinking my water and it will fill up my mouth and I will choke because it just didnt want to go down my throat right?
I'm 20 so I know the recovery times vary but PLEASE tell me about the scabs and what to worry about thats all that concerns me, to keep them clean uninfected and on there way to falling off so I can get some grub in this tummy.
I have been back to work since Monday I had the weekend off and I have been fine I do accounting so I'm behind a desk but my pain meds ease the pain without making me tired which is good.
Just please someone answer when and whats the deal with these scabs and how much longer will they be there?
