Greetings!! When it first started out it was a mild pain under my tongue with red swelling. Then overnight it developed into what looked like another tongue...underneath my tongue. This created some serious pain. I googled my problem and found that it could be a blocked salivary gland and it may pass in a couple of days. So I slept on it. I awoke in the middle of the night coughing/choking on some clear, yellowish mucas. I rinsed my mouth out and took some ibuprophen due to the pain. I called telehealth the next day to find out what was going on. I told them that there was now some discolouration of my leaf looking gland and my throat was restricting me from breathing properly. The nurse said I should go seek help at my nearest emergency centre in the hospital. So I did. I'm using CEPHALEXIN & LENOLTEC NO.3. I've also been rinsing with water and peroxide. The swelling of the gland has lowered but my throat is still producing yeast/bacteria. White patches with red around the white. What else can i do?? I'm very active and have a winter triathlon to go to mid february. :-( It hurts to swallow!! I've been eating through a straw the past 4 days. I got another week of antibiotics to take. PLease help me! :$ :$ Thanking you in advance....
