Hi everyone,
I am having my hemorrhoidectomy in 2 weeks and I am very afraid.  Im not scared of the pain, I understand it is very painful and I am prepared to deal with it.  What Im most scared of is the general anesthetic.  My surgeon said she mostly works with general anesthetic.  If anyone can give me some positive words of encouragement about their experience having this surgery with general anesthetic, I would be so appreciative :-D

Well, you will not feel any pain during the surgery and probably a couple of hours after the surgery. In fact, you will feel like it's no feat at all, which is quite an amazing experience that can conquer any fear of the surgery. But the moment it wears off, it will hurt like crazy, so you might want to head home straight after the surgery before the effect wears off.
