Hi, I am a 56 years old male, and I never before had urinary problems. A few days ago I am feeling sharp needle pain in urethra with urge to pee. Is this an infection?

Hi, I often have urinary infections with itching and pain during urination. My urinary bladder is very sensitive so, I have to pay attention as exposure to cold will result in frequent urinating. It is very annoying when you need to go to the bathroom every half an hour, and it destroys anything else you are trying to do. I usually take a lot of cranberry juice and capsules of cranberry extract. Sometimes, if symptoms persist for longer time I also need antibiotics. So, I take Ciprofloksacin or Visiren. If you have frequent urge to pee, it may be sign of an infection, so consider starting an antibiotic therapy.
