topomax and menopausal migraines

I went to the doctor because of migraines I have (menopause disturbance). He prescribed me with topomax. I have this really strange feeling in my fingers, like tingling feeling. Is this a side effect of topomax or is this another menopausal effect?

I was also prescribed with topomax for my menopausal migraines. It didn’t really help, I got the same side effect as you, went to the doctor and he took me off. So, I advise you to stop, or better go the doctor and get some new advise what to do.

I was also given this medication for migraine medication and unlike your doctor I was given great insight about the side effects. One is tingling, which is no big deal. I would take the tingling over the headaches I was having every day. This medicine helped take them away completely. It has been two weeks and I have yet to have one to date. Give the medicine some time, look at the bright side of things woman love this medicine because it also is known to help people lose weight.
