I have few questions regarding toprol and hydrochlorot. My doctor prescribed me with Toprol, 25 mg once a day, and Hydrochlorot, also one daily.
This happened 1 week ago. I started monitoring my blood pressure and didn’t notice any difference, so are these medications helping me at all?
Second question is, Ever since starting taking medications (1 week ago), I am feeling sort of light headed. Is this form medication?
And the third one. Besides this medications, I am also treated for emotional disorder of anxiety and panic disorder. My doctor believes that once the anxiety and panic is under control, so will be my problems with heart. What do you think about this connection?

Hey!
Considering first question, you need some time to see if meds work or not. One week is not enough, or is the least you can wait. I think the results are stating or will be starting to show in few days. Oh, yes, one more thing I wanted to mention. Do you relax before measuring blood pressure. It makes big difference with me- I get very different results if I do it “the easy way” (take few deep breaths, relax etc.) and measure, or when I am doing it fast and anxious....try it! It makes difference (with me for 10 or sometimes more).
Lots of people feel lightheaded at the beginning of therapy; this side effect is very common. It should disappear at least after 10 weeks of therapy, if not before.
And the third thought: I think your doctor, (I don’t know whether is cardiologist or not) is doing the right thing. Everything in our bodies is connected; and the heart is the main machine, which keeps everything going. Panic attacks are very disturbing for it, and cause big difference in heats work, simplified.
Regards!
