trasodone withdrawal

I cut off my Trazodone dosage by half last night and the night before and I experienced very severe symptoms. I got so anxious and depressed the following day. I went back to my initial dose, so that I wouldn’t feel like that. My sleep was also interrupted during these two nights. How should I get off this drug?

Hi there! Have you discussed this problem with a doc who prescribed Trazodone to you? I tried to do things on my own as well and started with gradual discontinuation. And yet, I experienced withdrawal symptoms. Then I decided to contact my doc, so I was put on very slow tapering. I would suggest you did the same. What is your current dosage?
