what if somebody hits u in the backbone and it causes u a trauma (like a small bruise)?

can u stunt ur growth if somebody hits u hard in the backbone and u do not have a fracture or a trauma?

I m 13 and I am 5'6 and I am as tall as my arm span, does it mean that I won't grow anymore?
