treatment for fetal alcohol syndrome?

Hello, good people. My friend was pregnant, but while she was pregnant, she was consuming alcohol. I would say in pretty large amounts. At the end, she born kid which was later diagnosed fetal alcohol syndrome. I would like to know what treatment there is for this disease. Thank you in advance.

Hello. I am sorry to hear that. There is no cure for fetal alcohol syndrome. Physical defects and mental problems last for a lifetime. Heart abnormalities can be repaired by surgery. These kids will need special help and service in school. Counseling is also needed for parents. I am not familiar with the details. I hope this helps. Bye!
