In general it is always better having triathlon road bike for it is made so it provides you much more conformity and it kind of a outs you in aero position so you actually get tired much less than riding usual road bike. Basically you could be using the road bike you already have but I think that if you are about to run a triathlon than you won't mistake buying yourself an triathlon bike for it also provides you an easier switch from bike to run in triathlon competition –regarding the fact that your muscles would be much less exhausted after riding triathlon road bike. And yet it is not like you could use this bike only during triathlon for it is good also in some other long cycle run.
