Hi, I’ve been with my boyfriend several years now and we have good relationship. But, I feel that he doesn’t keep his penis clean enough and I’ve heard stories that if he doesn't do so we both can get diseases. Is this true?

Yes. That is true. Your boyfriend can “catch” many diseases if not keeping his penis clean. That is the main reason why mothers usually teach their boys to pull the foreskin back and clean around the end. Unfortunately for you, it is much more likely that you will get an infection from trichamonous, gonorrhea or syphilis. If you can persuade him to clean it well, try having a romantic bath together in which you will gently show him how to clean it properly. He will appreciate the bath itself and you might get him think about it a bit more.
