Hi, my friend is 26 years old and she stays pregnant several weeks ago. After some time her doctor noticed that hcg level is not increasing as it would increase. He decided to make ultrasound and found ectopic pregnancy. He told to my friend there is possibility that he had to remove her tube. I would like to know if tube removal is necessary.
Hi, it is very difficult to say if tube has to be removed because of ectopic pregnancy. If there is bleeding and pregnancy is too big tube has to be removed. In other cases using laparoscope doctor may remove only implanted egg. However if pregnancy is even smaller methotrexate may be used and there is no need for surgical operation at all. I hope her doctor will find best solution for your sister.
