Hi, I am 34 years old female and I would like to stay pregnant. I am concerned because of the fact that I had tuberculosis several years ago. It is not active form now but I am afraid if it may become active during my pregnancy. I hope someone would have proper advice for me and my problem.

Hi, my sister suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis two years ago. After that she delivered healthy girl and everything is just fine now. She was very concerned about her pregnancy so she visited her doctor very often. He also explained to her that tuberculosis is not dangerous for the baby even in active form. Medications against tuberculosis would not injure your baby so it may be taken during pregnancy.
