two small cuts in clitoral area.. help?!

Ok, so normally my boyfriend and I usually don't have intercourse since we're both virgins so we settle for other things. Well, he rubs my clitoris to get me off and sometimes could he tear the skin there if he goes too hard? I usually end up really sore for a few days after.. but this is the first time I've gotten cuts; and last night I applied tea tree oil to soothe it. Though now the cuts have a white rim around them, should I be worried that it's something else?
