unable to ejaculate while taking methadone

My boyfriend has been on methadone for about 2 months now and he is unable to ejaculate .. it just started when he began takin the methadone .. is it because of that? also if it is and he s able to ejaculate and we become pregnant can the methadone harm or effect the baby?

i have the same problem, and it is most likely because opiates (oxycontin, heroin, methadone, etc) make guys' prostates swell, as well as lessen the acuity of what you feel.. don't get me wrong- as my gf has haha- sex still feels absolutely awesome.. but i'm guessing that the swollen prostate presses up against a guy's urethra and blocks it off (why it's hard to pee too...) or somethin along those lines and makes it hard (and sometimes impossible) to come..
best thing to do is have sex before he doses.. thats what we do..
