Hello. I'm 29 year old female and I had two of these leep procedures done in my life. So, I believe I can help you to understand some facts about it. This leep procedure is procedure in which special wire loop is used to remove the abnormal area or precancerous and abnormal tissue of your
cervix.
LEEP procedures have several advantages, including rapidity,
preservation of the margins for histological evaluation, and virtual bloodlessness. This procedure has some risks you should know about. The most common problem is abnormal bleeding from the cervix which can occur even several days after the procedure. But term-
unsuccessful leep means that amount of tissue that needs to be removed in order to cure the dysplasia is insufficient. This happens really rare and, in these cases- another leep is needed.
