unusual period and possible pregnancy or misscarriage??

I have been married for just over 2 months and my husband and I have been having unprotected sex. A week ago I had a very unusual period. There was no clotting throughout the period and the blood was bright red, as well as unusually heavy. I have also been nausious and dizzy and having cramps (which I have never had before) as well as headaches and low back pain. Could this be a sign of early pregnancy or misscarriage???
