Hi, you need to know that cervical fusion is a procedure where the surgeon makes a small incision in the front of your neck. The aim is to remove all or a portion of the disk. The opening is closed with the bone graft. Right after surgery you will need to take liquid fluid, but as healing goes on you will be able to take solid food too. You should avoid any heavy housework like vacuuming, digging, laundry, or lifting heavy bags of groceries. Avoid bending over from the waist, it’s better to bend slowly at the knees if necessary. Don’t move your neck suddenly it’s better to performe more slow motions.
