Hi! I will have a pituitary surgery next week. I'm scared because I don't know anything about it. Please, can you give me some useful information and help me to prepare myself for this surgery! I heard that I will do unusual urine analysis. What is that urinalysis test following pituitary surgery? Thanks!

Don't worry. Just listen carefully what your doctors ask from you to do. You will need to do a cortisol test. Standard protocol is to start with a 24-hour urine free cortisol (UFC). It identifies the amount of cortisol in the body during a 24-hour period. It's very important to catch all urine for this urine test.
