Hi! I am 21 years old and I have been using birth control pills (ortho-tri cyclen lo) for over a year. I have never missed a pill, and I take it every day at exactly 7:45am ( I work and go to school full time, so I always take it before i leave and am never late!). We also practice withdrawal. My boyfriend is very good, and never has any 'accidents', but I know precum can cause pregnancy. We abstain completely during my week of placebos (I know we don't have to, but I get worried). I experience several side effects, but have never had any spotting. However, this month, about 2 1/2 weeks into my cycle, I began experiencing cramps like pms. I have no spotting, and the cramps subside after about 30 minutes and return in a few hours. I am concerned because the cramps have come earlier than usual this month and I know it is an early sign of pregnancy. I have no other symptoms.
Are the chances of me being pregnant high or low? We try very hard to be careful and I'm just very concerned. I have very bad anxiety and I would like some peace of mind. I think i get worked up every single month around this time. I am now on Monday of my 3rd week, so I will be expecting my period next Tuesday. |
