I am having the same burning and swelling after sex, and that is why I am on the computer looking for answers! I am pregnant with my third child, so I thought maybe that was part of the reason. Maybe the birth control that many of you are on is the same hormone produced during pregnancy. All I know is that after sex last time it burned when I peed (so bad I was almost crying), and then I decided to take a shower and that seemed to help a little. Then I slept with a pillow between my legs to keep the pressure off, and it subsided by morning. I am going to ask my OBGYN at my next appointment for sure!
Good luck to all. |

|
| Does anyone have a cure for the burning/peeing/lips swollen after sex problem? Everyone posts their problems, but no one is having any real luck in solving the pain. I recently started this pain after sex and am headed to the doctors this week. Does anyone have something that HAS worked for them, please let me know! |

I have being doing so much research on this tonight..I hope this helps.
I started having itchyness after sex..redness..and horrible burning while peeing..like everyone else...NO YEAST INFECTION..NO STD'S...and it started again while I was pregnant...so I thought it would go away with those hormones..NOPE.
Last time we had sex...same things happened...UGH. NO CONDOMS WERE USED..NO LATEX ALLERGIES..and to tell you the truth...I actually also had this problem after they kept checking me for dialation at the hospital..so it's not even sex related...it may just be related to penetration.
So, I looked into VVS (which is a condition of the vulva) and I found this information that may help! There are some natural cures for relieving the pain on here:
http://www.vulvarpainfoundation.org/effective_treatment.htm
A lot of the websites also suggest that muscle therapy and strengthening of the pelvic floor could help..well...I HAVE SERIOUS SCIATICA..and a bulging slip disc that could be needing some strenghthening...so this may help you. I know it does for me..GOODLUCK!
Let me know if anyone sees some improvement with this.... |

Oh no!! The website is gone for some reason..that is horrible. HOpefully they are just fixing the problem..but whatever.
I"m so sorry...basically it was saying that the area surrounding the opening of the vagina is affected with this problem. It could be a shortage of blood to that area that causes irritation due to a pinched nerve somewhere in your body. Mainly in the back and spinal cord. Or it could be a problem with your sugar intake. If you have too much sugar..that could create these symptoms.
I found the other night..after forcing myself to try to have sex regardless of the after effects....I lubricated the surrounding area and my symptoms were no where to be found!! I have no problem getting lubricated where it matters!!! LOL, but just that little bit of KY Jelly around everything else really made a difference. I also cut back on my sugars last week and saw a major change and the horrible itchiness never showed up.
I"m sorry that website didnt go through..but try doing some internet research on VULVA VESTIBULITIS SYNDROME, that is how I got some answers. |

| The same thing has been happening to me. I has gotten progressively worse over the years and it has come to the point where I refuse to have sex with my boyfriend of a year until I find out how to fix this. My exact problem is that penetration hurts at first, then subsides, but as soon as it's over I feel external pain over the entire area. I have to make sure I urinate as soon as sex is over because I'll get a UTI if I don't, guaranteed. I'm afraid to pee though, because I know it's going to hurt. I have to dig into my legs with my nails so that I can distract the pain. It doesn't feel like UTI pain, it's just an intense burning, almost like knives. I can't pinpoint where the pain comes from, but it burnes and aches for hours after sex, especially so after peeing. All I know is that the vulva are very swollen, red, and irritated throughout the hours of pain that follow. I have to put ice on myself while I wait for the pain to go away. If I take the ice off the pain is too much. Then I notice that the vaginal opening is very sore for days following sex and having sex again within those days is out of the question. I've tried using different lubricants and they help a little bit but the pain is still there. We've tried using different condoms to see if I'm allergic to his sperm and I still have pain. We've tried long periods of foreplay prior to sex and it still hurts. We've tried being very gentle and slow during sex and I still hurt. I feel terrible that I can't have sex with him until I find out how to fix this because I know it must be frustrating for him. I've been tested for various STI so it's not that. It's just incredibly depressing and I wish I didn't have to be afraid of sex anymore. |

| I am 11 weeks pregnant with my first child and lately when we have sex it hurts afterwards when I go pee. You guys are right it feels like putting salt on an open wound. I took a mirror and looked in between there and found two little white blisters. Does anyone else have that? I can't stand the pain either. This friday I'm do to go back to my OB/GYN. Hopefully, I'll get some answers. If I find out anything useful I will definitly poset back. Good Luck all! |

Just wanted to let some of you know...THAT THIS MAY HELP:
The past two times that I've had sex..I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS AFTEWARDS!!! yay!!!!
I know that most of use may not have problems getting lubricated..where it counts....However..I think that it's the whole vaginal area that gets irrated from the friction of sex, or the tightness of an orgasm.
So, I have found that putting KY warming gel EVERYWHERE...in every area...has helped tremendously with not allowing dryness or itching around that area.
It has worked so far very successfully. |

I have read a lot of what everyone is reading.
I am also going through the same thing. I cannot stress how important getting checked for STDs is. Please make sure you do this.
I have noticed some common recurring words. One that I have not read yet is Bacterial Vaginosis. It is an overgrowth of the natural bacteria in the Vagina. It is known to cause pain during sex. This is very common is women.
Goodluck! |

ok the burnig is usually tiny tiny tears that react to its surroundings like cuts owwwww i know right they should be fine with in 3-4 days depending on if ur still having sex or not
and YES lub is key and i know i know sometimes u feel lubed and ready but its not enough and owie is that a bitch u think ur good till one swollen pooter and 3 days of no pannties later! if this happens u can soak in a hot bath after icing it (it worked wonders for me ) and epson salt optional (depending it u have those nasty tears or not!) do this for about 2-3 days 35 min intervals should be fine
another thing is yea if ur being rough u gotta deal with it later if ur creating friction on/in the vagina for hours even 1/2 sometimes less depending on countless factors the vagina will react again ice then soak
oh yes and sometimes no amount of lub will help sometimes it hurts when i have sexs until my vaginal secretions catch up wich sometimes is five min. after sex i know wtf
many girls say this works great np
i had a problem after the swelling went down the left inner labia never fully bounced back it stickes out a tad farther than the right and im mortified im not shure other than sugery what i can do to fix it ....tisk tisk tisk |
