vaginal itching, burning, NO discharge...can i take yeast infection medicine?

i have vaginal itching and burning, but no discharge. i had sex on saturday and after that my vagina has been like this. For a couple of days it burned when I peed, but that stopped. There is no abnormal discharge. Can i go ahead and take the pill for a yeast infection? Will it do any harm if i take it and there's no yeast infection?

You better see a doctor and find out if this were maybe a bacterial infection. Yeast and bacteria stay in balance inside vagina, I am not sure how it would work if you killed yeast with already higher bacterial levels.

You better take a proper medication right away than try things that may not work.
