Hello!
I went to the gyn (I am 23 btw) for the first time. She found out I have a tumor on my left ovary and that I will have to go through laparoscopy and this is nothing to be afraid of. She described the procedure, but I am afraid there would be vaginal scaring left after the procedure. Is anyone here with experience in laparoscopy? Were there any scars left?

Hey, I underwent the procedure in January 2004. You doctor is right, it is honestly nothing scary. There are 2 scars left behind the procedure (one is inside the belly button; which is almost not visible) and one is above the bikini line. They are both 1 cm long (very small) and now, year and half later are not visible and they “disappear” earlier. Directly on the vagina, there are no scars.
Don’t worry, you will be all right.
